Typewriter gives you a simulated Typewriter experience. It provides you with all the functionalities similar to typical mechanical typewriter provides.
Typewriter offers all the functionalities one would expect from a classic typewriter. Users can hear the distinct sound of keys being pressed and see the characters appear on the virtual paper, mimicking the satisfying rhythm of typing on a physical typewriter. The experience is further enhanced by features such as carriage returns, manual line spacing, and the ability to adjust margins and font sizes, allowing for a customizable writing experience reminiscent of the days when typewriters were the primary tool for writers and professionals alike.
Click on typewriter button on main-window or select typewriter from left-hand menu.
This may not give you 100% real typewriter experience in the sense of touch and feel, but if you don't have typewriter or if you want to know and practice before you buy one, then this simulator will help you to achieve that
Paper is sized as per the application window size, use full-screen for better view
Loading Paper remove any paper already loaded in to typewriter, mouse hover on new papers and click on load paper.
Viewing Paper click on paper release and select view paper
Removing Paper click on paper release and click on remove paper, paper will be added to typed-papers tray
Typing Set margins, load paper if not already loaded, and start typing.
Adding New line Push carriage return lever from left to right with mouse
Moving Carriage click on carriage-release lever on any side and move the carriage
Typing over move carriage with carriage lever or press back space, scroll knobs to position the paper and type over (note this will not delete previously typed letters)
Erasing click on correction liquid and click on the letter you want to erase
Loading text click on load text button and select the select file from file dialog
Scrolling up and down rotate right and left plater knobs with mouse to scroll paper up and down
Setting Margins position margin clips with mouse
Setting and clearing Tabs position the carriage by moving carriage and click set-tab button to set the tab, click clear-tab button to clear all tabs
Selecting Ribbon select the ribbon by moving ribbon button up and down
Selecting Strength select the strength by moving strength button up and down
Selecting Line-space mover line space button to 1 or 2 or 3 position
Space and Back-space press space to move carriage right, back-space to move carriage to back.
You can use mouse with left-hand to push carriage return for more realistic experience .
Paper Viewer
Click on paper release and select view paper. You can move the paper by gripping the top right corner clip and dragging it with the mouse. Additionally, you can save, print, and close.
You can also view papers from the typed-papers tray. Hover over the typed-papers tray and click on the paper. In addition to saving, printing, and closing, you can also delete the paper from the tray.
Electric typewriter features
Turn on electric typewriter features: click modernize button to turn on electric typewriter features
Turing on return key: check return check-box to turn on return key
Turning on arrow keys: check arrows check-box to turn on arrow keys
Turing on typing over: check typing-over check-box to turn on typing-over, typing over types over previously type letter by deleting previously typed letter.
Changing typefaces: remove the paper, click type-faces button, select typeface and size and click ok button.
